When I said I wanted to dedicate more to the blog this year, I truly meant it. I want to seat on my desk and do everything I can to make The Citified grow into something great. Plus, I'm a designer and sometimes I need a proper space to be creative.

The thing is, that desk does not exist. I tend to move (myself and my laptop) between the couch and the kitchen table. 

Let's be honest, both spaces are not the most inspiring to any creative mind. 

So, I'm in desperate need of what I like to think as a studio ~ in the end, it is nothing more than a home office ~ and I really want to build it myself. I'm no interior designer but I have a peculiar taste (good taste I believe) and I want to be able to relate to this room and feel like I'm ‘going to work’ without even getting out of the house. 

I have the room already, the walls are painted - plain white, just the way I like it - and that's all. There's a lot of work to be done!

In the meantime, I'm gonna need some inspiration on the whole building thing and the decoration of the space where magic will happen:

Quando eu referi que este ano queria mesmo dedicar-me ao blog, não estava a brincar. Quero sentar-me na minha secretária e fazer o possível e o impossível por tornar o The Citified num blog pra lá de espectacular. Além disso, sou designer e às vezes preciso de um espaço decente para os meus momentos criativos.

A grande questão é: essa secretária não existe. Tendo a movimentar-me (a mim e ao meu portátil) entre o sofá da sala e a mesa da cozinha.

Sejamos honestos, tanto um como outro não são os espaços mais inspiradores para qualquer mente criativa.

Vai daí que estou desesperada por um espaço que eu gosto de pensar como sendo um atelier ~ mas que não passa de um escritório ~ e quero mesmo construi-lo. Não sou designer de interiores mas tenho um gosto particular (bom gosto, eu acho) e quero, efectivamente, identificar-me com esse espaço e sentir-me como se fosse "para o trabalho" sem sequer sair de casa.

O espaço já tenho, as paredes já estão pintadas - branquinhas, mesmo como eu gosto - e é só. Portanto, tenho muito trabalhinho pela frente!

Enquanto isso, vou precisar de alguma inspiração para a montagem e decoração do espaço onde a magia vai acontecer:
