{CITIFIED} New & Improved

Now that we've all had a glass of champagne (or a few) and celebrated the beginning of the 2013, it is time to start spreading the news. And what better than a brand new website!?

I've been dying to do this makeover on the blog for ages because it wasn't looking the way I wanted and, as a designer, I can tell you it can be pretty annoying and demotivating when you can't relate to something that you've been working on.

That said, I decided to change pretty much everything, even the address, which means now you can find us at www.thecitified.com.

Ever since I've decided to change the blog, my intention was to give it a modern and more personalized touch and transformed it into something more "effective", funcional and fun but I also wanted to keep it clean.

Now, let me introduce you to the new Citified:

First I need to warn you that it's not finished yet. My brother is the one behind the magic and he's been working for me in his free time - which happens to be rare - but it won't be much different from this.

The header is probably my favorite part. Not only because it automatically introduces you to the page but because: #1 I love the new logo; #2 I love the fonts used in the whole website and #3 aren't those social network icons so freaking cute!?

Like I said, the blog is not finished yet but in the near future you'll be able to browse the categories from different posts and through the archive. If you click on "Follow", you'll be redirected to Bloglovin' and - more news - there's an official email address now available in "Contact". In advance, I can tell you that if you want to contact me in private, you can write me at sara@citified.com and you can do it by clicking directly in the envelope icon (top-right corner).

The social network icons include (from left to right) Facebook page, Bloglovin', Pinterest, Twitter and Email. So, now it is way much easier for you to follow me!

New but not so different as you can see. The structure of the layout remains the same, I just gave it a new "face".

Oh, and don't forget to join the site with Google Friend Connect.

Last but not least - yet unavailable - the page footer will look like this, where you'll be able to subscribe the newsletter (yes, there will be a newsletter), share the website with whomever you want, wherever you want, a FAQ list to clear some of your doubts and help you navigate through the blog and finally, the site credits because without my brother, this blog would have probably gone down the drain.
